GASM Oriade Chapter Officially Declares Support for Hon. Ibukun Ishola Fadipe for Osun East Senate
Oriade, Osun State — The Gbenga Ajayi Sister Movement (GASM), Oriade Chapter, has officially declared its support for Hon. Ibukun Ishola Fadipe (IBK) in his aspiration to represent the people of Osun East Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
The declaration was made in Oriade during an engagement with the Hon. Gbenga Ajayi Media Team, where the leadership of the movement reaffirmed its commitment to supporting candidates it believes can provide effective, responsive and people-oriented representation.
Speaking on behalf of the movement, Adetunji Yetunde Grace, Secretary of GASM, Oriade Chapter, said the people of Ijesa land are yearning for a new direction in representation and leadership.
According to her, the people deserve a representative who will genuinely listen to their concerns, stand firmly for their interests and make the welfare and development of the people a priority.
“We, the Ijesa people, need a better representative. We are tired of brutality. We want a representative who will respect the people, listen to their voices and provide meaningful representation.”
She said the decision to support Hon. Ibukun Ishola Fadipe (IBK) was based on the movement's belief that Osun East needs representation that is accessible, responsible and committed to the progress of the senatorial district.
The GASM Oriade Chapter also called on women, youths and other stakeholders across Ijesa land to remain united and actively participate in the political process, stressing that the future of the senatorial district requires collective action and a strong commitment to good governance.
The movement further expressed its readiness to mobilise its members and supporters across Oriade in support of Hon. Ibukun Ishola Fadipe, while urging the people to carefully consider the quality of leadership they want at the National Assembly.
The declaration adds to the growing political activities ahead of the senatorial contest, with stakeholders across Osun East increasingly focusing on the need for effective representation, development and protection of the interests of the people.
GASM Oriade Chapter reaffirmed that its support for IBK is a call for better representation and a renewed commitment to the welfare and aspirations of the people of Ijesa land.
